Real Ale is a pleasure that no amount of fizzy beer can replace. It has flavour which the bland nitro keg beers do not have. It's good for you in moderation as its alive rather than the pasterised beers that are not. Always make sure you get the real thing, check for a handpump which is drawing the beer not just hitting an electric switch. Brewers that make real ale are craftsmen that try and make individual special brews that are worlds apart from the bland commercial industrial brewers.
